Life, Money & Illusion
was selected as
a Finalist
in the 2007 Nautilus Book Awards,in the Ecology/Environment/Sustainability Category. The Nautilus Book Awards 2007 are being produced by Marilyn McGuire &
Associates, Inc. of Eastsound, WA and co-sponsored by Independent Publisher
Online of Traverse City, MI.
Quote from Marily McGuire:
"Life Money & Illusion is a Finalist in the category of Ecology/Environment
... (and it was close in the Social Change/Current Events/Activism
Category). We started the judging with over 50 titles in this category ...
and by the time it got to the third group of judges it was one of 6
Finalists. This is a book that a lot of the judges really liked - and it got
way to the top in a couple of categories."
All Finalist titles will now move to the third and final phase of judging
where the Winner for each category will be selected. There will also be
awards given for the Grand Winner in both the Adult and Children's
category - plus a special award for the best Small Press title. Award
winners will be announced in conjunction with Book Expo America at the Jacob
Javits Center in New York on the first weekend in June.
This from the Nautilus Site:
Today, with mass global communication, political unrest, and religious and
secular fanaticism all growing at an alarming rate, the need for books that
promote conscious living and positive social change is great, and the
phrase, "Changing the World One Book at a Time" is more meaningful than ever
before. Authors and publishers and their books CAN and ARE making a
difference.
Note:
Life, Money & Illusion was not the grand winner in its category at the Book Expo. We are however, grateful for the attention that its rise to the finalist position provided.
