"I am of German descent, I arrived here in 1951 and have
worked in Mines for two years, Copper Mountain and
Britannia Beach, both in BC, I came to Toronto Canada
in 1953, worked in various job capacities, including Cab
Driver and finally as Property Manager, I don't go out, I
don't like crowds and prefer to listen to soft Music, I am
a fair Cook and I live independantly.
"I contracted the
Guillain Barre Syndrome sometime in 1958, it is similar
to MS, it will affect all extremeties including the Brain, I
have had 4 minor strokes and also had 2 anareusim
operations, one to replace my lower main Blood vessel
from the Heart and the second to replace collapsed
Blood vessels in my upper legs, I run around on a Cane
or Scooter.
"I'm extremely fond of Cats, my cat died
after 14 years with me and that nearly did me in...
" I am a
Science Fiction Fan and do rent the occasional Movie to
watch on my VCR. I don't like Movie houses, but will
religeously watch the A&E channel for all Biblical
Mysteries.
"I don't go to Restaurants or Bars, since I don't
drink, I smoke a Pipe and what else can I tell you?
"I
made my peace with our Lord God and I pray a lot. I'm
gratefull that I'm allowed to live, even in a handicapped
mode.
"I can still walk a bit, but long stretches, I take the
Scooter...
"I had a great Mom, she
brought me up the right way, loving and tought me
everything I know in life... My parents passed in 1973
and following my Mother's words "Bill, when we go,
don't cry, it is like spilled Milk and it will not bring us
back, but where I go, I will be with you and it will be a
better place for myself." She died of Lung Cancer and
my Father died 3 months after of a broken heart (so they
say).
"Now I have a world of friends on the internet and spend a great deal of time sending and receiving email. We share thoughts and I'm able to help people with their computer problems.
"No matter where my interests take me, there is information on the internet to answer my questions. I can't imagine being without it."
