Our Story


Taken in 1997 In July of 1996, I (Chuck) went to California for a week to do some work for Arkenstone, and the night before I left to head back to Canada, I went to a country bar called the Saddle Rack, and met up with Clare Hamm a co-worker at Arkenstone. Clare brought her two sisters Theresa, and Chrissy along with her. Theresa and I danced the night away, and danced right into my heart. We kept in touch through e-mail, online chatting, phone calls, and the occasional visit. We kept this long-distance relationship going for over two years, and after completing my Masters in 1998, Arkenstone offered me a full time engineering position writing software applications for the visually impaired. I came down to California in November of 1998 to stay. On December 3, 1998 I gave Theresa a promise ring, and on July 2, 1999 asked for her hand in marriage.
