King's Landing has its Spring Education program out.
The Canadian Information Processing Society (CIPS) is pleased to present “Women in Information Technology”, an annual national program with local events in major cities across Canada aimed at increasing awareness among Canada’s female youth about careers in technology. On April 25, 2006, CIPS Loyalist (The Saint John Chapter of CIPS) is again bringing together female role models from a variety of technology fields to share their experiences, and encourage students to consider a career in technology in a theme entitled ‘The Apprentice Event’. Funded by sponsors and supported by volunteers, there is no cost for schools and students to participate in this event, being held at the Saint John Campus of the University of New Brunswick. Lunch, refreshments, and prizes will also be provided.
The career expo is supported by Districts 6 and 8 and local IT companies. We invite 15 girls from each public high school in the region. We do not want to exclude home-schoolers and private schools. Please contact Susan Almon for details at Susan.Almon AT xwave.com
