I'm Smoke free and Microsoft free.

This is my favorite quote from my reading this week:
http://www.zdnet.com/intweek/stories/news/0,4164,2580491,00.html

Tiemann described those who don't wish to be bound by Microsoft
proprietary file formats as akin to "where nonsmokers were 40 or 50
years ago. You can choose not to smoke yourself, but it's hard to
    avoid the second-hand smoke."

I suspect people will stop sending out Word and other proprietary file
formats for their documents when people start to realize (and being
confident to tell others) that doing so is in computer terms about as
friendly as blowing smoke in the face of a non-smoker.
