Digest and separate majordomo.cf files. (fwd)

Subject: Digest and separate majordomo.cf files.

  I have a number of different customers running mailing lists that are
separate from each other. For each one I have a separate majordomo.cf
file.

  For the 'resend' and 'majordomo' scripts the -C command-line switch does
the right stuff. For 'digest' the manpage recommends against using both
-c and -C on the same command line, but by looking at the PERL for
'digest' I note that doing '-c /path/to/majordomo.cf -C' accomplishes what
I want.

  I also needed to patch the 'mkdigest' command in majordomo itself so
that it reads:

open(DIGEST,
    "$homedir/digest -c $cf -m -C -l $list $list_outgoing 2>&1 |");

  I am wondering if there was a 'better' way to do this, and whether or
not these pathes and upgraded documentation could be included in a future
release of Majordomo? I am currently needing to distribute local patches
to the machines I manage and having these things in the regular
distribution would be much easier.

  Thanks.
