I'm now using myPhpAdmin's "Run SQL query/queries"
option, and pasting into the box, as you suggested.

It took a little more work to get the client database
to generate the required SQL syntaxes -- but now
that it's set up, it works fine.

I haven't tried it with large volumes of data (only
about 50 records); but I don't foresee the need
to do so in this application. I also haven't tried
it with blob/binary fields, only textual/numeric
data, which is all there is in this database.

I will remember not to try the "insert data from
textfile" option again.

Thanks again for your help!

and now with current data!)
