The flora.* series of newsgroups are actually just News-based archives of various mailing lists hosted @flora.org. Yhey are not traditional newsgroups at all. Given that they are archives of mailing lists, there is no way to 'cancel' a message as one can do with a newsgroup. I am not sure which area you posted to, or what message you are referencing, but I don't know of any FLORA mailing list that is a correct place to post a forsale type message. If such a posting was sent it was likely by accident. Even when messages are improperly posted to the wrong forum, there is no mechanism to allow people to remove the message. It would be the job of the list owner to be more selective of their membership to ensure only appropriate postings are submitted in the first place. Given this, pretty much all of the lists are membership-required for posting, and some lists have the list owner approving membership to the list. > thx, > Brad > beaverhyde@hotmail.com --- Russell McOrmond, Internet Consultant: <http://www.flora.ca/> See http://weblog.flora.org/ for announcements, activities, and opinions Oppose DMCA in Canada!
