Friends:
Here is the once-a-week list of September 11-related events across the
country, prepared by the Canadian Peace Alliance for our own network and in
support of the September 11 Peace Coalition.
Feel free to forward this information if you like and to check the web-site
at www.acp-cpa.ca/novevents.htm for updated info. I am happy to add people
to the list to receive updates weekly, let me know at cpa@web.ca.
More than 15,000 people in 25 communities held peace events on November 17,
the Cross-Canada Day of Non-Violent Action for Global Peace and Justice,
called by the September Eleventh Peace Coalition. The events are listed on
www.acp-cpa.ca/nov17events.htm.
Please continue to send me information at cpa@web.ca about events in your
community such as rallies, vigils and talks. The web site and e-mailed
updates can help publicize events as well as showing people across the
country what is going on in your community.

interviewed a group of Arab Canadians to tell their stories of harassment
and fear. That was the start of Unspoken Territory, a new docu-drama that
examines human rights abuses in our own backyard, questioning "official"
versions of Canadian history. Incidents explored include: Chinese head tax;
Ukrainian internment; and various uses of the War Measures Act. The films
ends with commentary on more recent episodes of racism in North America.
Connecting these histories is a poetic, often humorous account of growing
up "ethnic" in an anglo world. Location: The Western Front, 303 E 8th Ave.
